While you rationalise for a world where negative traits were absent from the individual . Yet such a world would be almost inconceivable . A fairytale land of the bland and innocuous without waxing too cynical ! Opposites enhance/exaggerate one another . We live in such a world of duality . It commenced with the metaphysical world to the product of creation itself via the onetime symmetry of matter and anti matter that was broken to create this world in whatever fashion that will always be argued . It proceeded with gravity/anti-gravity to the constitution of particles/energy in the sub atomic world of positrons and neutrons etc etc. The positive and negative aspect constituting electricity . In the biological world male/female . Everything has it`s polar opposite . No ! You propose the impossible . A world without challenge .
In essence negatives that give shape to the positive are necessary except in some peculiar world of the imagination . Contraria non contradictoria sed complimentaria sunt (opposites are not contradictory but complimentary).
You discuss predisposition . Body language creates a predisposition that influences how others will react to them . Consider that loose term charisma . It suggests that a person`s reputaion precedes them . Once established in our minds we must be careful that we are not unduly influenced by our previous knowledge as some sort of baggage . Reputation should be an evolving quality . Charisma in a leader is more a feature of our mind`s response than any innate feature of that person`s personality .We should always see things afresh or anew as though for the first time .
This is one reson that I believe some people are more predisposed to religion than others . Their imagination rules how they see the world . Nothing wrong with that if it provides comfort . Also without imagination Michelangelo and Da Vinci etc would have left little legacy after their sojourn .After all who that is a philosopher would risk defining the demarcation line between Reality and Imagination ? If " Das Universam ist ein gedanske der Gotte (the Universe (and it`s conduct (my addition) was but a thought of God was more than a mindless truism .
Regarding the human predisposition toward religion . Darryl Reanney was not wide of the mark when he proposed "Without the shield of religion to protect them from the reality of death , the ego-self is so vulnerable to anxieties and neuroses that without religion it`s very existence would be destabilised " ( and render the individual inoperative as a properly functioning human being) (my suggestion) .
When we consider that the creation of the ego self is semi illusory anyway - The proposition that the development of a sophisticated symbol rich written language had more to do with the formulation of self identity than any factor of bio chemistry we can see that in a sense we are an integral part of language itself and what can be achieved through language . Everything is interdependent to comprise one whole . Even those proposed negative traits that , like it or not , are part of a functioning world .
