This fellow can hardly have matured out of dogma if he never matured into it -- his slide began after a squabble in which he put his own feelings above what the Bible said. No doubt the article accurately describes the journey of many who get religion, when they should rather have received Jesus Christ. What exactly did the author believe? We aren't told. The article knocks psychological caricatures rather than the content of Christian faith. It succeeds if that is all it set out to do.
