I thought this link might be of interest to you . Astrobiology and related fields (I don`t mean Shirley Maclaine and her New Ager ilk dabblings ) are becoming recognised as a topic du jour for those people more seriously seeking explanation other than the trite , banal and/or other ridiculous put-offs .

I used to be surprised how often Lewis Carroll`s "Alice in Wonderland`s character utterances were used as a predicate in philosophical books . It is less surprising to see that poets like William Blake ( and there is no doubt he was onto something beyond all others ) are quoted by scientists .Infinite regression - we even have it when countering discussions on a priori First Causes given as some " ëxplanation " of the unknowable . There is a touch of Mandelbrot`s Set progression (or regression) in his quote from "Auguries of Innocence"- . He could have been addressing the " Atom "/Universe.
"To see a World in a grain of sand
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour " .
