I find the discussion of natural selection verses intelligent design interesting.
There is another way to look at this whole question and that is to explore the immediate.
To get to the point I know exactly where God is. There is a rational explanation although the natural mind is unable to comprehend and describe the power of God. Every person could experience God and then not need an explanation or endless discussion or preaching about something they have no experience in. All that is necessary is a knowledge of what has to be gotten past, where to look and how to go about it. Whether a person has the ability, or realizes their need to believe is a gift in itself.
This whole area of topic is important. Although many would refute it, man's educated, intelligent endeavor in the last century especially, is culminating in an end of comfort, ease and will lead into sheer desperation for everyone on the planet.
The child who bashes another in the sand pit for no apparent reason seems to be reflected in adult behavior. Sometimes it is physical but mostly it is mental, with manipulators controlling situations to their advantage.
I fix machinery, fault finding and making improvements are necessary aspects of the job. With people any suggestion of improvement can be taken personally, it usually is, because this can be perceived as an attack on someone who thinks they have no really bad faults, or they have learned to accept who they are as every balanced person does. The reality is that the person who is acting badly has the same nature as one who appears more responsible and sometimes pressured circumstances and even comfortable situations can show true traits.
There has to be a way of transcending personal issues and treat human nature as something that can be repaired much like a broken machine. The question is how to get past the situation but then is anybody able to receive anything, are they teachable and is anything actually broken?
A scripture reads "there is a lack of knowledge and the people perish".
When I was 26 years old I had an experience of God. It was a 5 second revelation and then 3 years of continuing contact. An initial teaching became many years of understanding and rationalizing. I had a continuous communication and I was taught by God and then progressively matured a rational explanation. I would like to give some of these from my mind as they are shown to me.
God is immediately available to those who earnestly seek him (who are receptive and open) and is just beyond where we can see or know.
In the first instance it was awkward to explain to others what had been shown to me because the subject is involved. I will attempt to explain one small aspect.
Where is God?
I know, I see, I believe and the scriptures can be used to explain.
God says "I am a God close at hand and not far off." How close is the question. My understanding is that God is observing each and everyone from just a little beyond where they are able to mentally see.
God says "because of your rebellious nature I will remove you from sight".
God is just beyond ones own sense of empowered self belief. God knows each individually by how they do not measure up or how they miss the mark (sin). Humans use willpower in an attempt to make the part of themselves they want to make believable by projecting the state of their heart which is the inner being. Acting out a good or a bad character is all the same. A bonding in familiarity of nature, closes off the ability to see beyond the mind that supports the self.
To believe, and experience God is in the mind. A scripture says "man struts around in the futility of own mind." Man's endeavor is misdirected.
Man's rebellious nature (human nature) removes all from God's sight. Humans can not "see" God. (have a knowing of God) The whole situation is like seeing a puzzle from another perspective.
The prophet Samuel said to king Saul, " rebellion is as witchcraft and stubbornness is as idolatry"
What does the term witchcraft really mean. It must refer to an aspect in all human interaction.
By being stubborn a person is idolizing there own opinions. There are opinions on everything to the point nothing constructive will take place, but only an intricate misinformed tussle.
How does this witch craft as a part of a rebellious nature work? Just observing the natural working of human interaction demonstrates something that is occurring at a deeper level. A person will shake in fear, feel good or bad, using the natural senses and brain function to cause reaction in their own body. One person can say something to another and upset them to the point their emotions take over or one can make another feel good about themselves. In the social interaction between people the subconscious is penetrated in a potentially predatory manner to the point where one person could capture or hijack the control of mental function. Several clues are transmitted and show in demeanor, i.e., body language, voice and actions which confirm impressions.
It is normal and acceptable to have some one make us laugh for instance. It is accepted that someone may make you cry. If a person cannot get what they want, then in an expression of deviance and manipulation they may design a situation that uses emotions to play everything into their hands. And even this has become acceptable.
My conclusion about what the scriptures explain in one aspect and those things I have been shown are; Most people are equally empowered, but some are vulnerable. The leaders of nations misdirect their power. It is actually the power to resist another and hold ones own belief and maintain an emotional equilibrium in the human way that hides God. It is impossible to let go own power without becoming emotionally vulnerable. Everyone is locked into a mental gymnastics, a human bonding, unable to escape. This leads to all the observed situations in human endeavor.
During an initiating experience there is supernatural revelation and gained knowledge that if taken up completely leads to a new life. In a complete transformation in the mind - taking on the mind of Christ - a new nature would be revealed. A perfect nature, gentle beyond what is comprehendible to the natural mind. Presenting nothing sinister. It is using own willpower to thrust away every last aspect in the self and allow God to be revealed through a perfect nature. The tested acceptable nature of Jesus Christ. Putting away imperfection and taking on perfection. Being transformed by the renewing of your mind.
The physiology would be a different balance of hormones or all those essential constituents that hold each person in what is regarded as a normal state.
I have experienced this. I know what I am saying is true. The only way to achieve this is by breaking the inner being (the heart) which is the center of self belief. The reaction to someone in this state would depend on how hard hearted the observers were. Their reaction would bring about God's judgment. It would come out of the people themselves. God's power is used via the will but is corrupted by a powerful spiritual deviance that is attached to human nature and this needs to be unlocked before any progress toward perfection continues. Sickness, deformity and death, even poor judgement and accidents are products of captured mind and physiology.
God is immediately available but hidden
