All valid points but don`t leave out the significant role of politics in the birth and promotion of those religions . That was my major point where I was addressing all three mainstream monotheistic religions and the peripheral damage they have all done not necessarily outweighing the pluses you have referred to . But that again is only my opinion . I will also make the point that in my further opinion Islam comes off a distant third in the humanitarian stakes . I will not address claims like souls being saved but concede that many people have found a purpose whose lives may otherwise have been empty . I won`t add purposeless .
